About This Piece
About This Piece
This ring features natural Apophyllite from India, preserved in its raw crystal cluster form.
Apophyllite is admired for its bright, glassy faces and naturally architectural growth. Fine specimens from India are especially valued by collectors, often forming inside open cavities within ancient volcanic basalt, where crystals had enough space to develop clean edges, flat reflective surfaces, and luminous clarity.
Its name comes from the Greek idea of “flaking off,” referring to the way some apophyllite can separate along delicate planes when heated. Because of its clear, window-like faces, apophyllite has also appeared in crystal lore as a stone connected with reflection, gazing, and quiet observation.
Rather than a polished gemstone, this piece keeps the raw structure of the crystal visible — light-catching, geometric, and specimen-like, as if a small mineral window had been made wearable.
Stone Meaning
Stone Meaning
Apophyllite is often associated with clarity, reflection, and calm awareness. Its bright, mirror-like crystal faces are commonly linked to seeing things more clearly — not by forcing answers, but by creating space for quiet observation and perspective.
Many people are drawn to apophyllite for its light, open presence: reflective, calming, and quietly luminous.
Details
Details
Stone: Apophyllite
Source: India
Formation:
Apophyllite is a hydrated potassium calcium silicate fluoride mineral that commonly forms as a secondary mineral inside cavities and fractures in volcanic basalt. Fine specimens from India are especially known from the Deccan Traps, where mineral-rich fluids moved through open gas pockets and slowly deposited crystals over time.
The open space inside these cavities allows Apophyllite to grow with clean prismatic or pyramidal forms, flat reflective faces, and a naturally glassy surface. It is often found alongside zeolite minerals, adding to its appeal as a mineral specimen.
Ring material: Brass with gunmetal-tone finish.
Alternative finishes and sterling silver versions may be available upon request, depending on the design.
