Amethyst

A violet variety of quartz,
formed slowly within volcanic rock.

Its color comes from trace iron,
shaped over time deep within the earth.

Known since ancient times,
amethyst was once used in Ancient Greece
as a stone believed to keep the mind clear —
its name meaning “not intoxicated.”

Today, it’s still often associated with clarity —
something people return to
when they want to slow down and think clearly.
