About This Piece
About This Piece
A dark crystal flower ring featuring Black Rutilated Quartz from Brazil, accented with Herkimer Diamond Quartz from Pakistan at the flower center and side stone position. The black rutilated quartz is shaped into petal-like forms, showing fine dark needle-like inclusions suspended inside the clear to smoky quartz body.
Black Rutilated Quartz is admired for its internal structure — thin mineral needles captured inside quartz as it formed, creating patterns that look almost like ink lines, threads, or shadowed architecture. Herkimer Diamond Quartz, though not an actual diamond, is known for its naturally double-terminated crystal form and bright, light-catching clarity.
What makes this ring special is the contrast between darkness and light. The black rutilated quartz petals feel bold, mysterious, and structured, while the Herkimer Diamond Quartz adds a clear point of brightness. The result is a flower shape with a stronger mineral character — delicate in form, but not soft in mood.
Stone Meaning
Stone Meaning
Black Rutilated Quartz / Tourmalinated Quartz is often associated with grounding, protection, strength, and seeing through complexity. Its dark internal lines give the ring a feeling of depth, focus, and quiet resilience.
Herkimer Diamond Quartz is commonly linked with clarity, focus, amplification, and clear intention. Together, the two stones create a balance between protection and light — meaningful for someone drawn to inner strength, sharp clarity, and a darker crystal aesthetic.

Details
Stone: Black Rutilated Quartz / Tourmalinated Quartz (Brazil), Herkimer Diamond Quartz (Pakistan)
Formation:
Black Rutilated Quartz, sometimes referred to in the trade as Tourmalinated Quartz when the dark inclusions are tourmaline-like or tourmaline-based, forms when quartz grows around fine needle-like mineral inclusions. These inclusions become trapped inside the quartz during crystal growth, creating dark internal lines, layered patterns, and natural visual depth.
Herkimer Diamond Quartz forms in open cavities where quartz crystals grow freely without attachment, developing natural double terminations at both ends. This unrestricted growth gives the crystal its pointed geometry and bright, faceted-looking appearance.
Ring material: Brass with gunmetal-tone finish.
Alternative finishes and sterling silver versions may be available upon request, depending on the design.
Adjustable open band
One size — fits most, approx. US 5–10.5
Note: Each crystal is naturally unique. Shape, color, clarity, and inclusions may vary.
