About This Piece
About This Piece
A dark crystal row ring featuring Black Rutilated Quartz from Brazil at the center, framed by Black Herkimer Diamond Quartz from Pakistan. The center stone shows fine needle-like inclusions suspended inside the quartz, creating a layered, almost web-like depth. Around it, the Herkimer Diamond Quartz crystals keep their natural double-terminated form, adding raw geometry and shadowy sparkle.
Black Rutilated Quartz is admired for the way dark mineral inclusions are captured inside clear or smoky quartz during formation. These internal lines make each stone feel like a natural drawing held within crystal. Herkimer Diamond Quartz, though not an actual diamond, is loved by collectors for its naturally pointed ends and bright, faceted-looking structure.
What makes this ring special is its dark clarity. It does not rely on bright color; instead, the beauty comes from contrast, texture, and depth — a row of black-toned crystals that feels architectural, mysterious, and quietly powerful.

Details
Details
Stone: Black Rutilated Quartz / Tourmalinated Quartz (Brazil), Black Herkimer Diamond Quartz (Pakistan)
Formation:
Black Rutilated Quartz, sometimes also described in the trade as Tourmalinated Quartz when the dark inclusions are tourmaline-like or tourmaline-based, forms when quartz grows around fine needle-like mineral inclusions. These inclusions become trapped inside the crystal during formation, creating dark internal lines, layered patterns, and natural visual depth.
Black Herkimer Diamond Quartz is a naturally double-terminated quartz crystal. It forms in open cavities where quartz can grow freely from both ends, creating pointed terminations without human cutting. The black appearance may come from natural dark inclusions, carbonaceous material, hydrocarbons, or other minerals trapped during growth.
Ring material: Brass with gunmetal-tone finish.
Alternative finishes and sterling silver versions may be available upon request, depending on the design.
Band: Adjustable open band
Size: One size — fits most, approx. US 5.5–9.5
