Formation:
Green Rutilated Quartz is quartz containing slender, naturally enclosed mineral inclusions that formed during crystal growth, creating fine internal threads or sprays within the stone. Smoky Quartz is a variety of quartz whose brown to deep smoky colour develops through natural irradiation acting on trace aluminium within the crystal structure over geological time. Both stones belong to the quartz family, but their appearance differs because of inclusion content and colour-causing processes.
