Despite the name, Herkimer Diamond Quartz is not a diamond. The name comes from the famous double-terminated quartz crystals first associated with Herkimer County, New York, where naturally pointed quartz crystals became well known among collectors for their diamond-like sparkle. Today, similar double-terminated quartz crystals from other localities are often used in jewelry and mineral collecting for the same sharp geometry and natural brilliance.

In this four-stone arrangement, the crystals sit like small points of light around the band. Some may appear clear, while others may carry tiny dark inclusions or internal veils, making each ring slightly different.

Formation:
Herkimer Diamond Quartz forms in open cavities where quartz has enough space to grow freely from both ends. This creates its natural double-terminated structure. Dark inclusions may appear when carbon, organic matter, or other minerals become trapped inside the quartz during crystal growth.

Ring material: Brass with silver-tone finish.
