Formation: Fluorite forms in hydrothermal environments, where mineral-rich fluids crystallize within rock cavities. Its octahedral shape develops through natural cleavage, where the crystal splits along structural planes into geometric forms. The green color comes from trace elements and variations during growth, creating differences in tone and clarity within the crystal.
