Dumortierite quartz is quartz naturally included with dumortierite, a fibrous blue mineral named after the French palaeontologist Eugène Dumortier.

Formation:
Pink tourmaline is a coloured variety of tourmaline, a complex borosilicate mineral that commonly forms in pegmatites, where mineral-rich fluids allow crystals to grow with strong colour zoning. Dumortierite quartz forms when blue dumortierite develops alongside or within quartz during metamorphic or hydrothermal conditions, creating natural blue inclusions, veils, or cloud-like internal patterns.
