This open ring pairs green prehnite with quartz and magnetite inclusions from China, alongside pale blue aquamarine from Brazil. The prehnite has a soft, mint-green mineral texture with tiny dark magnetite specks and quartz growing through it, while the aquamarine adds a clean blue contrast.

Prehnite often forms in rounded or layered masses inside rock cavities. Aquamarine is a blue variety of beryl, colored by trace iron, and has long been associated with the sea through its name — from aqua marina, meaning “water of the sea.”

Formation:

In this piece, quartz and small magnetite inclusions are present within or alongside the prehnite, creating a natural mineral association. Aquamarine forms as beryl crystallizes in mineral-rich pegmatites, with trace iron giving it its blue to blue-green color.
