Garnet is one of the oldest gemstone materials in jewelry history, and its name is thought to come from the Latin granatum, a reference to pomegranate seeds.

Formation:
Purple grape agate is a botryoidal form of microcrystalline quartz, formed when silica-rich mineral solutions deposit in rounded layers, creating its characteristic grape-like surface. Chrome diopside is a chromium-rich variety of diopside, typically formed in igneous and metamorphic environments, with its vivid green color caused by chromium. Garnet is a silicate mineral group commonly formed under metamorphic conditions, where heat and pressure allow crystal growth within host rock over time.
