Formation: Amethyst forms in volcanic rock cavities, where silica-rich fluids crystallize into quartz over time. Its purple color develops from trace iron combined with natural irradiation during formation.
Green Quartz forms in hydrothermal environments, where quartz crystallizes under mineral-rich conditions. Its green tone develops during formation, resulting in a more uniform appearance.
