About This Piece

This piece features natural green prehnite from Morocco, formed in a rounded botryoidal structure — a grape-like crystal habit that gives the surface a soft, clustered look.

The specimen has an elongated display shape, with pale green to misty blue-green prehnite growths gathered across the surface. Its appeal is in the gentle colour, rounded texture, and organic mineral form, making it a calm and collectible natural crystal specimen.

Prehnite is a calcium aluminium silicate mineral that often forms in cavities and fractures of volcanic rocks through hydrothermal activity. Mineral-rich fluids slowly deposit material over time, creating rounded clusters, coatings, or crystal aggregates. Historically, prehnite is also known as one of the first minerals named after a person — Colonel Hendrik von Prehn, who introduced it to Europe in the 18th century.

Stone Meaning

Prehnite is often associated with calm, emotional balance, and gentle renewal. Its soft green colour is linked with peace, growth, and quiet reflection.

Care

Because this piece features natural mineral crystals, gentle care will help preserve its structure:

• Avoid dropping or strong impact — the formation can be delicate
• Keep away from prolonged moisture or direct water exposure
• Avoid contact with chemicals or cleaning agents
• Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to help preserve the natural color
• Store or display in a stable, dry environment

Clean gently with a soft, dry brush or cloth if needed.
For rounded crystal clusters or soft mineral surfaces, avoid frequent handling.
