Raw Chrome Diopside & Chalcopyrite Flower Ring

A raw crystal flower ring made with Chrome Diopside from Russia and Chalcopyrite from China. The green petals are formed from raw Chrome Diopside crystals, while the center is set with Chalcopyrite, adding a warm metallic gold-bronze contrast.

Chrome Diopside is admired for its rich chromium-green color, often compared to more traditional green gemstones because of its vivid natural saturation. Chalcopyrite, sometimes known as “fool’s gold,” has a long history in mineral collecting for its metallic luster and shifting golden tones.

Formation:
Chrome Diopside is a chromium-bearing variety of diopside, a pyroxene mineral that forms in igneous and metamorphic environments. Its intense green colour comes from chromium within the crystal structure. Chalcopyrite is a copper iron sulfide mineral that typically forms in hydrothermal veins and ore deposits, recognised for its metallic lustre and brassy gold tone. Though very different in composition and growth habit, the two minerals create a strong visual contrast when brought together.
