Formation:

Epidote typically forms in metamorphic or hydrothermal environments, where mineral-rich fluids allow green crystal aggregates to develop on or within existing structures. In this piece, the contrast comes from different mineral phases forming together — with quartz remaining relatively clear while epidote grows as textured green clusters across the surface.
