About This Piece

This piece features natural green prehnite from Morocco, a mineral loved for its soft translucent green colour and rounded, grape-like crystal habit. Prehnite is often found in botryoidal or clustered formations, where small rounded growths gather together like natural mineral droplets.

This specimen has a low, wide display shape, with pale green prehnite crystals spreading across the surface. Its gentle colour and clustered texture make it a beautiful natural crystal specimen for collectors who prefer softer, calmer mineral forms rather than sharp points or dramatic towers.

Prehnite forms in cavities and fractures of volcanic rocks, often through hydrothermal activity, when mineral-rich fluids slowly deposit calcium aluminium silicate over time. It was also one of the first minerals named after a person — Colonel Hendrik von Prehn, who brought specimens from South Africa to Europe in the 18th century.

Stone Meaning

Prehnite is often associated with calm, emotional healing, and inner peace. Its soft green colour is linked with renewal, gentle growth, and a steady sense of balance. It is often chosen by people who want a peaceful stone for reflection, rest, and quiet emotional support.

Care

Because this piece features natural mineral crystals, gentle care will help preserve its structure:

• Avoid dropping or strong impact — the formation can be delicate
• Keep away from prolonged moisture or direct water exposure
• Avoid contact with chemicals or cleaning agents
• Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to help preserve the natural color
• Store or display in a stable, dry environment

Clean gently with a soft, dry brush or cloth if needed.
For delicate crystal points, soft minerals, or fragile clusters, avoid frequent handling.
