About This Piece

A two-stone open ring pairing raw Peridot from Pakistan with Purple Octahedral Fluorite from China. The peridot brings a bright yellow-green tone and natural crystal texture, while the fluorite shows a geometric octahedral form with deep violet color.

Peridot has been admired since ancient times and was once called the “gem of the sun” by the ancient Egyptians, valued for its fresh green glow and luminous quality. Fluorite is loved by mineral collectors for its wide color range and natural geometry. Its name comes from the Latin fluere, meaning “to flow,” because fluorite was historically used as a flux in metal smelting.

What makes this ring special is the contrast between the two minerals: peridot feels bright, warm, and organic, while octahedral fluorite feels structured, cool, and architectural. Together, they create a fresh green-and-purple composition that feels both natural and intentional.

Stone Meaning

Peridot is often associated with renewal, vitality, optimism, and fresh beginnings. Its green tone gives the ring a lively, uplifting feeling.

Purple Fluorite is commonly linked with clarity, intuition, focus, and mental organization. The octahedral shape adds a sense of structure and direction. Together, the two stones create a piece that feels bright but centered — meaningful for someone drawn to growth, clear thinking, and quiet personal momentum.

Details

Stone: Peridot (Pakistan), Purple Octahedral Fluorite (China)

Formation:
Peridot is the gem-quality variety of olivine, a magnesium iron silicate mineral that forms under high-temperature conditions deep within the Earth’s mantle or in magnesium-rich igneous rocks. Its yellow-green color comes from iron within the mineral structure itself.

Fluorite forms in hydrothermal environments, where mineral-rich fluids crystallize within veins, cavities, or fractures. Its octahedral shape often develops through natural cleavage, where the crystal separates along structural planes into geometric forms. Purple coloration is usually linked to trace elements, structural defects, and natural irradiation during formation.

Ring material: Brass with gunmetal-tone finish.
Alternative finishes and sterling silver versions may be available upon request, depending on the design.
