Their colour differences come from trace elements within the crystal lattice: chromium produces red ruby tones, while iron and titanium are commonly linked to blue sapphire colouration. In raw specimen form, the crystals retain their natural surface texture and irregular mineral structure, which gives the piece a more geological and collectible character than faceted gemstone jewelry.
