Collection: Pyrite

An iron sulfide mineral,
recognized for its metallic luster
and sharply defined crystal forms.

Pyrite often grows in distinct geometries —
cubes, octahedrons, and complex intergrowths,
with surfaces that can appear almost engineered.

These shapes form naturally
as atoms arrange in highly ordered patterns
during crystal growth.

Because of its resemblance to gold,
pyrite has long been known as “fool’s gold,”
though its structure and composition are entirely different.

Beyond its color,
it is the precision of its form
that sets it apart —
edges, angles, and symmetry
that rarely occur so clearly in nature.
