Smoky Quartz

Smoky Quartz is a variety of quartz
known for its grey to deep brown tones,
formed through natural irradiation over time.

Its color develops when trace aluminum within the crystal structure
is altered by radiation from surrounding rock,
creating the smoky effect that can range
from light, transparent grey to nearly opaque brown.

It’s often the depth of tone that draws people in —
not bright or reflective,
but something more muted and grounded.
